Hiking Trail Kirkland Creek

This trail starts from the Bald River Road / Holly Flats Road. You have to cross Bald River to get to the trail. The trail follows an old railroad on the left side of Kirkland Creek. After about a mile, you will have another creek crossing. You will cross the creek a few more times until you reach the confluence of Kirkland Creek and Waucheesi Creek. The trail ends at Sandy Gap.

Head out on this 8.4-mile out-and-back trail near Coker Creek, Tennessee. Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 3 h 14 min to complete.

This trail is great for backpacking, camping, and hiking, and it’s unlikely you’ll encounter many other people while exploring.

The best times to visit this trail are May through October. Dogs are welcome, but must be on a leash.
